Date: 2 weeks ago
City: Chesterfield
Contract type: Full time
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior High Intensity CBT Therapist to join our NHS Derbyshire Talking Therapies service!

This is a hybrid role with main base in Chesterfield, and you may also be required to work at various locations across Derbyshire, including but not limited to, Derby and Chesterfield.

Working hours for this job are Monday to Friday - service hours between 8am and 8pm, with the expectation of at least one late shift per week (12-8).

As a Senior HIT, you’ll provide evidence-based therapy for people experiencing complex anxiety and depression, while also taking a leadership role in the team. You’ll balance your own clinical caseload with supporting colleagues, trainees, and service developments that ensure we continue to deliver excellent, person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of therapists to deliver high-quality Step 3 interventions (face-to-face and remote).
  • Monitor and report on service performance, using data to drive recovery outcomes and ensure KPIs are achieved.
  • Support incident investigations, identifying lessons learned and embedding improvements.
  • Contribute to service reviews, evaluations, and working groups to improve both operations and clinical quality.
  • Provide supervision, training, and ongoing support to trainees, including coordinating with university partners.
  • Maintain a small caseload to support your clinical practice and accreditation.
  • Promote a safe, supportive, and high-quality service environment.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you possess the following:

  • A recognised Step 3 High Intensity CBT qualification and BABCP (or equivalent) accreditation.
  • A supervision qualification, with experience supporting and developing others.
  • Significant post-qualification experience delivering Step 3 interventions in Talking Therapies.
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload and achieve strong clinical outcomes.
  • Experience of working with complex mental health needs, risk management, and challenging presentations.
  • Strong knowledge of the stepped-care model, evidence-based psychological therapies, and national policy on mental health provision.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support colleagues.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data to drive service improvements.
  • A commitment to Everyturn’s values of compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and innovation.
