Who You Are
We’re seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer passionate about building exceptional user-centric interfaces for healthcare providers and patients. You’d be a key contributor to shaping the front-end architecture, improving performance, and driving best practices across teams. You care deeply about UI/UX, accessibility, and maintainable code, and you enjoy tackling complex front-end challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Who You Are
We’re seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer passionate about building exceptional user-centric interfaces for healthcare providers and patients. You’d be a key contributor to shaping the front-end architecture, improving performance, and driving best practices across teams. You care deeply about UI/UX, accessibility, and maintainable code, and you enjoy tackling complex front-end challenges in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
- Drive Front-End Initiatives: Lead and own front-end projects that align with the company's quarterly goals. Collaborate with the engineering manager and team to define, prioritise, and execute front-end deliverables.
- Component Library & Storybook: Contribute to the continuous development of our UI component library, ensuring it is reusable, scalable, and aligned with our design system (Figma). Maintain and improve our Storybook instance to ensure consistent and high-quality components.
- Build Tooling & Performance Optimization: Work closely with our platform team to improve bundling, linting, and testing tooling. Ensure our front-end applications are optimised for performance and that our CI/CD pipelines are smooth and reliable.
- Accessibility & UI Quality: Lead efforts to achieve WCAG 2.2 AA compliance across the UI components, driving accessibility improvements and ensuring every user can fully interact with our platform.
- Mentor and Collaborate: Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing through the front-end guild. Collaborate across teams to align on front-end best practices, architecture, and tooling.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, designers, and back-end engineers to iterate on features, deliver high-quality user interfaces, and ensure seamless integration with back-end systems.
- 5+ years of front-end development experience, with a deep understanding of modern front-end frameworks such as React and Next.js.
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript, with solid experience in building complex and scalable front-end applications.
- Experience with component libraries (Storybook) and a strong understanding of design systems and UI component architecture.
- Solid expertise in HTML and CSS, with a keen eye for detail in UI/UX design.
- Accessibility knowledge with experience ensuring front-end components comply with WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
- Proven experience optimising front-end performance, reducing bundle sizes, and improving load times using techniques like lazy loading, code splitting, and tree-shaking.
- Familiarity with front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite), linting, and unit testing tools (e.g., Jest).
- A collaborative mindset, comfortable working with cross-functional teams and mentoring less experienced developers.
- A passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies and best practices.
