JOB PURPOSE
AAB Wealth is in an exciting growth phase, with increased presence and opportunity for further growth across the UK. As a Chartered Financial Planner, and member of the AAB Wealth Leadership Team, you will be an established expert in your field and trusted adviser, with a proven track record in the delivery of high-quality advice. You hold a strong awareness and consistently adhere to your regulatory obligations and conduct rules. You are passionate about coaching and developing others, imparting your experience and strong knowledge of the financial services sector to the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Continue to be recognised as expert in your field, trusted advisor and primary contact for clients, team and network
• Demonstrate a client first attitude, always seeking the best outcome for clients through management and timely delivery of high-quality advice
• Be an ambassador for the firm, leveraging your established network, internally and externally, increasing opportunities for business growth
• Continuously drive business growth and revenue in line with firm strategy and objectives, demonstrating strong commercial awareness
• Coach and mentor the AAB Wealth team, sharing knowledge and experience
• Work collaboratively across the team, taking ownership for efficient delivery of client work
• Fully engage with AAB Wealth systems, processes and procedures ensuring consistent outcomes for clients
• Adhere to your regulatory obligations, always displaying the highest levels of conduct and integrity
• Consistently meet requirements under risk-based monitoring metrics, to maintain a green rating
• Identify needs and introduce wider AAB Group services to clients
• AAB Wealth Leadership Team - attend meetings, bring strategic value and take ownership of tasks delivering to agreed timescales.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications

• CII Advanced Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or level 6 equivalent)
• Chartered Financial Planner
• Appropriate qualifications for specialism/role (e.g. PTS)

Experience

• Extensive experience gained in a similar role (10+ years)
• Proven track record, with an established client base
• Established network internally and externally, with track record of leveraging for business growth

Knowledge

• Extensive knowledge of the financial planning process and solutions (10+ years)
• Solid understanding of the regulatory obligations of financial planners and financial planning firms

Skills & Qualities

• Strong effective communicator
• Ability to delegate and oversee a wide range of client work, delivering to deadlines
• Proven commercial awareness, and track record of leveraging network of established referrals
• Ability to identify improvements and communicate effective solutions
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
• A role model for others, demonstrating highest levels of integrity, conduct and behaviours
• Coach and mentor, passionate about developing others
• An effective team player, with a one team attitude
