WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, you will be responsible for:
- Perform accounting processes in scope for a range of sites, customers or functions as directed like month end, reconciliations (i.e. Payroll Recs, Revenue BS Rec, etc.), fixed assets accounting etc.
- Regular engagement with site ops teams, Reporting team, BU FC's and shared services on inputs and outputs for the completion of common processes
- Build deep business knowledge for the customer/sites in scope to provide support for decision making
- Effectively maintain period end and year end closing schedules for the customer/sites in scope
- Adherence to finance processes and accurate, timely report production
- Participate in process improvement workshops and activity
- Provide regular updates to the Reporting Manager on process completion, issue resolution and any escalations
- Deliver the processes in scope to the agreed KPI requirements and support performance management
- Support change programmes
- Ensure all standard accounting processes on and off system are followed identifying continuous improvement opportunities to the Reporting Manager
- Manage individual workflow ensuring agreed deadlines are met
- Ad hoc tasks as required Any other purchasing or operational admin related activities as required by the Controller or Manager
- Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting requirements - strong month end experience essential
- 2-3 Years experience of performing accounting in a logistics or similar industry would be a preference
- Experience of using Oracle Cloud would be a preference
- Effective time management skills
- Clear, effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work well in a team
- Strong financial and analytical skills
