Role Description
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Arcadis, you will play a key role in delivering technically robust and innovative geotechnical solutions for major infrastructure projects across the UK and globally. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to project leadership, and build strong relationships with clients while developing your expertise in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Role Description
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Arcadis, you will play a key role in delivering technically robust and innovative geotechnical solutions for major infrastructure projects across the UK and globally. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to project leadership, and build strong relationships with clients while developing your expertise in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Role Accountabilities
- Lead the preparation of geotechnical calculations, designs, and technical reports, ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Support and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and inclusion.
- Plan and supervise ground investigations and geotechnical analyses.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across disciplines to deliver integrated project solutions.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, supporting project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards throughout all project phases.
- Contribute to business development and the preparation of bids and proposals.
- Degree-qualified (MEng/MSc or equivalent) in Civil Engineering (geotechnical focus), Geotechnical Engineering, or Engineering Geology.
- Progressing towards Chartered Engineer or Geologist status.
- Demonstrated experience in geotechnical design, analysis, and ground investigation within consultancy or a similar environment.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., VDISP/PDISP, WALLAP, REPUTE, Slope/W) and MS Office applications.
- Strong technical report writing, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexible approach, including willingness to travel and work on-site as required.
