You will be joining a successful engineering department whose deliveries can be found in billions of Bluetooth and Voice and Music products worldwide. We offer end-to-end solutions for leading-edge low-power mixed-signal SOCs from feasibility study through to system architecture, digital and analogue design, verification and validation, implementation and layout, embedded software design, ATE test, production, and characterisation.
Based in either our Cambridge or Bristol office, this role offers a Snr Engineer position in Digital IP Design working alongside System and IC architects, Verification, Validation and Software teams. The successful candidate will have a mixture of demonstrable technical skills and hands-on design experience in low power digital IP.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
- Design and Integration of RTL blocks including DSP, SoC and peripheral IP.
- Support power analysis and design updates to reduce power.
- Documentation including micro architecture and programming guides.
- Ownership of complete work package from specification through to delivery.
- Cross functional collaboration with Firmware, Systems and Verification teams.
- Running ASIC development tools including Lint, CDC, Synthesis, Power analysis tools.
- Planning, reporting status and communicating progress against expectations.
- Effective communicator with strong technical presentation skills.
- RTL design in System Verilog and expert digital design knowledge.
- Able to work autonomously and demonstrate technical competency.
- Knowledge of DSP design for Audio signal processing.
- Knowledge of power reduction techniques (DVFS, power gating, DMA)
- Familiarity with AMBA/AXI specifications, I2C, I2S, SPI or similar
- SoC level design and IP Integration Experience.
- Understanding customer use cases and specifying requirements.
- Expert in debugging design issues reported in simulation or formal verification.
- System C design and High-Level Synthesis flows.
- Experienced with RTL and Gate-Level power analysis.
- Knowledge and experience of defining HW/FW interfaces.
- Experience of UVM based verification tests is desirable.
- Ability to automate and improve process through scripting in Python, Perl or similar.
- Proactive, creative, curious, motivated to learn and contribute with good collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's or Masters’ degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
