We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Digital Content Developer to join our Digital function. The successful candidate will provide subject matter expertise in supporting the team with the building and publishing of engaging and effective content across Skipton’s websites and Mobile App.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has expertise in Content Management Systems and wants to play a key role in our passionate and friendly team.

Who Are We?

You will be joining a team of experienced content developers where you will be collaborating daily with different stakeholders on both a technical and non-technical level to update content on a range of platforms on our Content Management System.

As part of our Digital function, you will liaise regularly with our User Experience, UI Design and User Acceptance Testing teams, as well as stakeholders across the business to ensure we are delivering the best experience for our customers by updating and maintaining our Content Management System.

What Will You Be Doing?

Responsible for many aspects of content management, leveraging the capabilities of our Content Management System. You will do this by ensuring the creation and updating of webpages and online content is efficient, of high quality and delivered in accordance with agreed plans and timelines.

You will work collaboratively with multiple teams across the business, receiving work briefs and driving them from initial review through to live publishing. You will serve as a go-to person for stakeholders across the business regarding the Digital changes you are leading and will proactively contribute to monitoring daily work requests, escalating issues where necessary.

Additionally, you will support cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team by driving best practices in content development. You will also help to support, define, test,and embed new capabilities working with development teams on technical topics relating to content development.

What Do We Need From You?

The ideal candidate will require experience in digital content development and will be skilled in using features and capabilities available in Content Management Systems such as Sitecore and Adobe Experience Manager, with a minimum of strong experience in either. Alongside this, have a basic understanding of HTML and CSS.

You will have strong communication and organisation skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation. Working with technical and development teams on topics relating to content development is important, along with the ability to translate technical details to a non-technical audience.

In an agile environment, you will work closely with business users to understand their needs and translate them into effective content. This requires strong collaboration, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple work streams under tight deadlines. You will also work independently, while being integral to the agile teams, contributing to iterative development and continuous improvement.

With your creative way of thinking along with a great attention to detail, you will deliver amazing customer experiences online, bringing your passion for all things Digital.
