We are recruiting for a key role based onsite in Didcot, South Oxfordshire, offering the opportunity to play a pivotal part in the successful delivery of one of the most complex and high-profile projects in our portfolio.

- Be at the forefront of a technically advanced data centre project, responsible for overseeing the mechanical design delivery.
- Lead multi-disciplinary design teams through early engagement, detailed design, and successful handover.
- Drive innovation and sustainability throughout the project lifecycle, utilising Laing O'Rourke's market-leading digital and offsite manufacturing capabilities.
We're keen to hear from Senior Design Managers with:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or relevant discipline) and ideally Chartered status.
- Proven experience on major, high-complexity projects such as data centres, pharmaceutical/life sciences facilities, healthcare estates, advanced manufacturing, or critical national infrastructure.
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills, with confidence managing client teams, designers, and delivery partners.
- Robust understanding of design governance, risk management, and design change processes.
