Senior Commercial Accountant

Job Description

We’re seeking a Senior Commercial Accountant to join our Head Office in Thame. This is a pivotal role supporting Business Partner's within our Finance department, and you would be responsible for ensuring all costs are budgeted & charged appropriately thereby protecting CPM profitability. Excellent salary - Up to £43k DOE and excellent benefits including pension and 26 days holiday rising to 31 days!

Salary: Up to £43K DOE

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the renewal / creation of budgets for our clients.
• Business partnering, ad hoc analysis & supporting business projects/initiatives.
• Coordination and review of client reconciliations (client budget v cost incurred).
• Ownership of balance sheet and project ledger reconciliations for your account portfolio.
• Delivering the internal plan, quarterly and ad hoc forecasts in partnership with Client Service Directors.
• Monthly review with business partners of outstanding debt & unbilled production. Driving actions to ensuring optimum levels of working capital are achieved.
  
  

Knowledge, Experience and Relevant Qualifications for this job:

• Relevant experience of working in a financial environment.
• Working towards a relevant professional qualification e.g. CIMA or ACCA and ACA.
• Ability to work under own initiative, manage resources through time management skills which will involve, planning and maintaining own workload, working to tight timescales, the ability to determine relevant upward referral of issues, and producing high quality accurate work showing relevant initiative.
• PC literate with excel skills and intermediate Word skills.
  
  

Good communication skills, the ability to listen and interpret requests accurately, draw out information from non-financially based employees, presenting clearly on accounting issues relevant to the role in layman’s terms either orally or in writing.

In this role you will work as part of our valued finance team based at our head office in Thame. You would be responsible for all aspects of client accounting across a selection of our prestigious clients.
