We have the opportunity for a Senior Claims Adjuster to join our Claims department here at Tokio Marine Kiln. You will report to the Head of Marine & Aviation Claims and will assist in the delivery of the TMK Claims Business Plan.

The role includes responsibility for:

  • Delivery, through personal ownership and via the team, of a first-class service to all customers.
  • Management of a portfolio of claims which will include the oversight of a proportion of complex claims – through either personal ownership, working with and referral to a more experienced colleague or through the oversight/support of the Claims Adjusters within the team.
  • Taking ownership of appraisal and objectives which will include personal training requirements and development needs which support delivery of the TMK Claims Business Plan.
  • To assist in the development/enhancement of client relationships to ensure delivery of Claims services that support business objectives.
  • Liaison with Underwriting team(s) regarding claims and wording issues at an individual and market level and to support profitable development of account(s) and the retention of existing business.
  • Ensuring fair customer outcomes & commerciality when decision making in line with the TMK values.
  • To have a clear understanding of the company's risk appetites in terms of delegated authority, conduct and financial crime.
  • Championing the company values and working in accordance of the expected organisational behaviours.
  • To be aware of and comply with the relevant rules and regulations in relation to financial crime & conduct.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of handling Marine and Aviation claims in the Lloyd’s market. A good understanding of market practices and TMK’s core business classes is also desirable. We are looking for an analytical thinker and a team player who is willing to cross skill/support in other classes of business when necessary.
