The Opportunity

We are excited to announce an opening for a Senior Chartered / Senior Associate Building Surveyor to join our growing team, based in our Winchester office.

The role of Senior Chartered / Senior Associate Building Surveyor will involve working within our Building Consultancy team, supporting an array of projects and clients. This opportunity is ideal for a competent surveyor looking to leverage their extensive experience and contribute to the development of Hollis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery of multi-skilled building surveying instructions across dilapidations, license to alter, tenant alterations, schedules of condition, and project management (with flexibility to pick up a variety as you see fit)
  • Take ownership of a healthy pipeline of commercial real estate projects across various sectors like offices, retail and industrial
  • Provide professional advice on property and construction, which includes acquisition and disposal.
  • Prepare and negotiate schedules of dilapidations for landlords and tenants.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring effective communication and client satisfaction.
  • Mentor and guide junior surveyors.

Required Experience, Qualification & Skills

  • MRICS
  • Experienced with the delivery of multi-skilled building surveying instructions
  • Experience within the commercial industrial, office and retail sectors (others also beneficial)
  • Strong report-writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent client-facing and interpersonal skills
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to provide strategic advice.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Full UK driving licence.
