Senior Analyst
NHS England

Contract type: Full time
The Insights and Intelligence Team is an analytical service supporting NHS England by providing information, analysis and analytical support. We have an aim of 'do once and automate' wherever possible and therefore produce South West Regional products for use by the centre and locally. This approach reduces the analytical overhead enabling us to support local analysis where required and ensures consistency of reporting across the South West region.
This role sits in the Analytical Delivery function which is the main point of contact for most customers, responding to ad hoc requests and identifying and working with the other functions to support customers with insightful analysis.
This role will often work as part of multi-disciplinary ‘squads’, made up of colleagues, both internal and external to the Insights and Intelligence team, to deliver on projects that require a range of skills and knowledge.
In consideration of the national competency framework this role will most closely align to the Data analyst job family at Senior Practitioner level. The specialisms expected to strongly feature within the Analytical Delivery team are Descriptive & Explicative Analytics and Business Analysis, as well as Communication and Patient & Customer service competencies within the Behaviours ancillary framework.
This role is based in the Analytical Delivery work area. Products will include descriptive analysis, decision support, causal analysis and analytical advice and guidance.
