About The Role

For many of our residents the lack of secure, accessible and dry cycle parking prevents them from making regular trips by bike. This post holder will be working to deliver an ambitious programme of on-street bike hangars to improve conditions for our residents. This position will play a critical role in the delivery of our bike hangar programme, which includes:

This position will play a critical role in the delivery of our bike hangar programme, which includes:
- Leading on the management of the rented spaces in the hangars
- Managing t he repair and maintenance of our growing fleet of hangars
- Leading on the innovations of new areas of widening provision bike hangars installed
The successful candidate will be expected to have:
- Experience of working within a recognised project management framework
- An understanding/experience of and commitment to good customer service management practices
- A broad understanding of transport planning policies, principles and issues
- Experience in the delivery of transport or public space projects
- An ability to work collaboratively on a range of projects
- An ability to use a range of approaches to change behaviour
- An ability to draft reports and complex correspondence
- An ability to provide expert advice to elected members, management and less experienced colleagues
