Due to growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Client Relationship Manager in our Boston TC Bulley Davey office.
As a Client Relationship Manager you will have varied disciplines, you will manage a portfolio of mixed clients to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. You will be reviewing and reporting on account performance, undertaking regular client visits and promoting positive client engagement, ensuring exceptional service delivery is upheld at all times and identifying growth opportunities from within your portfolio.
The role will also entail involvement with practice and workflow management for the whole team, as well as strategic planning with the client. You will organise and provide on the job coaching, identifying training and development needs and ensuring these are facilitated. You will have an active involvement in the development of our approach, and creating and monitoring an “improvement focussed” mentality across the whole team.

Key responsibilities of a Client Relationship Manager will include:
- managing client relationships and ensuring we deliver exceptional client service which will include regular touch points with your clients, both online and in-person
- explore development opportunities with existing relationships to increase portfolio sizes and add to Business Development for whole service line
- managing finances of portfolio, including driving monthly billing targets, monitoring and improving recoveries, debt recovery and forecasting
- reviewing VAT returns, personal tax returns and partnership returns, limited company and sole trader accounts
- Assisting in the management of the office and developing junior members of staff and proactively look to develop a culture on continuous improvement and best practice
- identifying training and development needs and ensuring these are facilitated
- escalating development issues and progression requirements to senior management team
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- minimum of 5 years’ demonstrable experience within an accountancy practice background
- ACA / ACCA qualified essential
- you should be proficient in MS Office / highly PC literate, along with sound accounting system knowledge. Iris software experience would be beneficial.
- methodical approach to handling workload of both self and others.
- must be extremely organised and flexible, with a positive, solutions based perspective
- to be successful, you will be personable with excellent communication skills, written and oral, and be able to develop strong client & team relationships
