Accountancy Elite are currently recruiting for a client of ours very local to Witney who are looking for a strong practice accountant to add to their senior ranks in a Senior Accountant role.

Candidate Attributes

• A newly qualified ACA/ACCA candidate or a QBE with at least 5 years practice experience
• Extensive experience producing FRS 105 and FRS102 1A statutory accounts
• Someone who can work independently and produce high quality accounts and tax returns ready for manager or partner review.
• Mentor and assist junior members of staff in preparing their work. Ability to review the work of junior team members is desirable but not essential.
• Support managers and partners in ad hoc tasks including tax planning, advisory work and handling client queries
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Providing guidance and support to junior team members
• Review of management accounts, and VAT returns.
• Preparing management accounts with more technical requirements
• Preparation and review of annual statutory accounts and Corporation Tax returns
• Preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns
• Managing a small portfolio of clients involving overseeing client deadlines and helping the team to prioritise their workload
• Responding to technical accounting and finance related queries from staff and clients
• Effectively managing client communication
• Client meetings
