Are you a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant who wants to make a difference in the lives of students with complex needs? Step Teachers are working with a Secondary school in Kings Lynn and are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school that champions high aspirations and also contribute to raising the achievement of students. Role to start immediately or December 2024.

Key Responsibilities Of a SEN Teaching Assistant
- Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, assisting with their educational and personal development.
- The SEN Teaching Assistant should assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the individual needs of students.
- Foster a supportive and nurturing learning environment, promoting independence and confidence.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to implement tailored support plans for students with SEN.
- The SEN Teaching Assistant should maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, contributing to comprehensive assessments and reports.
- Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEN experience.
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in different educational settings.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) are desirable but not essential.
