GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant who can work with our client schools in Ashford. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs
Job Summary
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), your role will be to support students with a range of special educational needs, both academically and emotionally. You will work alongside teachers to deliver tailored learning experiences, helping students overcome challenges and reach their full potential. This is a fulfilling role where you can make a real difference in students' lives.

Job Summary
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), your role will be to support students with a range of special educational needs, both academically and emotionally. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your key responsibilities are to:
- Assist developing and implementing tailored IEPs for students with SEN.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
- Offer emotional and behavioural support to students, helping them build confidence and manage challenges
- Supervise students during classroom activities and during break times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Previous experience working with children with SEN needs is highly desirable.
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are preferred.
- A patient, caring, and empathetic nature, with the ability to work with students who may display challenging behaviour.
- Driving licence is preferable
- An updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
