SEN Learning Mentor – Driver
Location: Redruth
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £83.33 per hour
Start Date: Immediate
GSL Education is seeking a full-time SEN Learning Mentor to support students in a specialist SEN school in Redruth. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties. A UK driving licence and access to a car are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional needs.
- Assist in implementing individual learning plans and behaviour strategies.
- Encourage student engagement, independence, and confidence in learning.
- Adapt teaching resources to meet individual needs in collaboration with teachers and SENCOs.
- Support students in classroom activities, social interactions, and daily routines.
- Monitor and report student progress to ensure effective support strategies.
- Manage behaviour using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) is desirable.
- A strong understanding of Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, or physical disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A patient, adaptable, and compassionate approach to supporting young people.
- The ability to work both independently and within a team.
- A UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
- A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
