Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of SEMH students.
- Create a welcoming and stimulating classroom environment rooted in mutual respect.
- Implement strategies to manage behaviour effectively and support emotional regulation.
- Collaborate with a multi-agency team to remove barriers to learning and promote student well-being.
- Use assessment tools to evaluate progress and tailor future teaching plans.
- Actively participate in staff meetings, training, and the overall School Improvement Plan.
- Foster positive partnerships with parents, carers, and external professionals.
- Essential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Knowledge of effective strategies for working with SEMH students.
- Ability to create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Desirable: Experience teaching at KS3-4 and a track record of achieving good or better teaching outcomes.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
