We are seeking a motivated SEMH Teacher to join a supportive and dynamic team in Southend. You will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality teaching that meets the holistic needs of students. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of SEMH students.
  • Create a welcoming and stimulating classroom environment rooted in mutual respect.
  • Implement strategies to manage behaviour effectively and support emotional regulation.
  • Collaborate with a multi-agency team to remove barriers to learning and promote student well-being.
  • Use assessment tools to evaluate progress and tailor future teaching plans.
  • Actively participate in staff meetings, training, and the overall School Improvement Plan.
  • Foster positive partnerships with parents, carers, and external professionals.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Essential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Knowledge of effective strategies for working with SEMH students.
  • Ability to create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Desirable: Experience teaching at KS3-4 and a track record of achieving good or better teaching outcomes.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
