Job Title: SEMH Secondary Teaching Assistant

Salary Range: £86 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)

Contract: Long term, Full – Time

As an SEMH Secondary Teaching Assistant (TA), you will play a vital role in supporting students with SEMH needs, helping them navigate their educational journey with confidence and resilience.
Responsibilities Of The SEMH Secondary Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA)

Responsibilities Of The SEMH Secondary Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA)
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEMH needs.
- Assist in managing behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment.
- Work alongside teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored support plans.
- Encourage students’ emotional well-being and self-regulation skills.
- Support both academic and personal development through structured activities.
- Engage in off-site learning opportunities, ensuring a holistic approach to education.
- Previous experience working with SEMH students in a secondary school setting.
- A calm, patient, and understanding approach to behaviour management.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with students.
- A full UK driving license—essential for off-site visits and school accessibility.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
