About The Role
We are seeking caring and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to join our Secondary Schools in the Southend and surrounding areas. As a key member of staff, you will work closely with teachers to provide one-on-one or group support to students, helping them to overcome learning barriers and achieve their academic and personal goals.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to SEND students in a classroom setting or through one-on-one interventions
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Support students with emotional, social, and behavioural difficulties
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each student
- Encourage student independence and confidence in their learning journey
- Experience working with SEND students in a school setting (desired but not essential)
- A genuine passion for helping students with additional needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet individual student needs
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or SEND training (preferred but not essential)
- A supportive and friendly working environment
