Your Mission

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director to lead our UK Retail and Industrial portfolios within the Bakery, Patisserie, and Chocolate sectors. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and serving as a key member of the UK Senior Management Team, you will drive commercial strategy, lead a high-performing sales team, and forge impactful partnerships across the industry.

This is a pivotal leadership role for a visionary sales professional who thrives on delivering growth, building customer-centric strategies, and inspiring teams to exceed expectations.

What You Will Do

Strategic Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and empower a dedicated sales team to deliver excellence in customer engagement and commercial performance.
  • Establish clear KPIs and development plans, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Build senior-level relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders to elevate brand presence and influence.

Commercial Strategy & Execution

  • Define and implement a robust sales strategy aligned with Puratos Group’s global vision and local market dynamics.
  • Identify emerging trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities to shape innovative go-to-market approaches.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing and R&D to deliver targeted campaigns, product launches, and customer initiatives.

Financial & Operational Excellence

  • Own the commercial budget and ensure alignment with profitability targets and strategic objectives.
  • Lead accurate forecasting and pricing strategies that protect margins and drive sustainable growth.
  • Oversee discount structures and commercial terms to ensure strategic application and consistency.

Customer & Market Engagement

  • Cultivate strong, multi-level relationships with customers, from business owners and buyers to category managers and NPD teams.
  • Ensure CRM systems are leveraged effectively for data accuracy, performance tracking, and customer insights.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Customer Service to ensure operational efficiency and service excellence.

Cross-functional & Global Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Managing Director and contribute to the UK’s strategic direction as part of the Senior Management Team.
  • Participate in regional and international initiatives to share best practices and leverage global resources.

  • Proven track record in senior sales leadership roles within FMCG, food manufacturing, or related sectors.
  • Strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and customer-centric mindset.
