About The Role

As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting account management and business growth. This customer-focused position combines exceptional service delivery with sales activities. You will work closely with a dedicated salesperson, managing existing customer accounts, assisting with enquiries, and ensuring the smooth handling of orders and logistics.

This role offers a unique opportunity to learn all aspects of the product cycle and sales cycle from the ground up. As you progress, you’ll gain hands-on experience in managing customer accounts, understanding the intricacies of our products, and mastering the sales process. This comprehensive exposure will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to eventually manage your own accounts and drive business growth independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Account Management: Maintain and manage assigned customer accounts, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction. Collaborate with the salesperson responsible for visiting accounts to generate and follow up on enquiries.
  • Order Processing: Accurately place and manage customer orders in the system. Monitor order progress to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Material Sourcing: Identify and source materials when required, working with suppliers to meet customer needs.
  • Pricing and Quotations: Support the salesperson in pricing discussions and provide quotations to customers. Ensure accurate pricing input in the system and adherence to company guidelines.
  • Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure smooth delivery of orders. Address and resolve any logistical issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Support: Assist in generating and nurturing new sales leads. Provide administrative support to the salesperson, including preparing reports and maintaining records.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM systems is a plus.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Previous experience in a customer service, administrative or sales role advantageous.
