The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner is looking for someone to provide an outstanding service to OPCC and to those who have cause to contact them, by providing comprehensive administrative support.
We are looking for someone to provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team within the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner including the PCC (Police and Crime Commissioner) and DPCC (Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner). This includes arranging meetings, making travel and accommodation bookings, and ensuring all paperwork is made available on time.
Ensure the Staff Officer is made aware of any up-and-coming issues that may require attention or be of interest.
Key Responsibilities
Interview - Candidates who are successful at the shortlisting stage, will be invited to an interview, which will take place on Tuesday 25th November 2025.
Vetting And Medical
Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.
Please note the successful candidate will be appointed in accordance with the 'Politically Restricted Posts' guidance attached.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team within the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner including the PCC (Police and Crime Commissioner) and DPCC (Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner). This includes arranging meetings, making travel and accommodation bookings, and ensuring all paperwork is made available on time.
- Efficiently manage all senior leadership team diaries in conjunction with the Executive Staff Officer.
- Ensure correspondence, enquiries and messages received into the OPCC (Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner) are dealt with professionally, expeditiously and directed appropriately whilst maintaining confidentiality, honesty, and integrity always. This will involve frequent contact with members of the public via written correspondence and on the telephone. Ensure appropriate records are maintained and GDPR compliance.
- Produce responses to a high standard on behalf of OPCC, in relation to correspondence, complaints and enquiries received into the Office, liaising where necessary directly with Senior Leadership Team and Staff Officer. Ensure appropriate records are maintained and GDPR compliance.
- Communicate appropriately with Lancashire Constabulary including the Chief Officer Team, members of the public, outside agencies, other departments, and senior stakeholders to deal with a wide variety of issues.
