Risk Data Analytics Manager – Salary Circa £50,000.

The Conduct & Insight team is a centre of excellence for conduct risk management, SM&CR governance, and reporting, responsible for much of the risk & control MI within the UK General Insurance business.


A bit about the job:

  • Providing data analytics outputs and insights that support & enhance UKGI Risk & Governance’s efficiency agenda, and the broader UKGI business.
  • The skillset required to deliver on this agenda requires a specialised analytical background which are not readily available in generalist risk management market.
  • Understand core risk management processes and data used to oversee UKGI’s risk & control environment, to better identifying potential opportunities for effective implementation of process / control automation.
  • Working with stakeholders to establish requirements, transforming them into analytical solutions and effectively communicating outcomes.
  • Confidently presenting and demonstrating analytical solutions to a range of senior stakeholders with the ability to demystify complex, technical jargon, translating into simple terminology able to be interpreted easily by non-technical audiences.
  • Work collaboratively with BI teams and data owners / stewards to develop and maintain data-led solutions leading to more meaningful insight into the operation of the UKGI business.
  • Support ad-hoc team deliverables when required (e.g. conduct, complaints or regulatory reporting).


Aviva operates a “smart working” policy meaning that we spend approximately half of our time working in an office this role is based in Norwich.


Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Experience with SQL, Python, VBA, Informatica or Dataiku.
  • Broad business experience and understanding, with knowledge of financial and regulatory issues relevant to financial service organisations is advantageous.
  • Experience in either data focused roles or significant hands-on data analytics experience, with understanding and experience in data / process mining.
  • Knowledge of data engineering principles including automation.

  • Salary Circa £50,000. (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
