Why this role?
You will be working within our Risk and Compliance area of Operations, reporting to our Head of Operations. You will maintain our risk management and compliance agenda, underpinning ISO certification readiness, internal controls, and contractual obligations.
Not only do you get the chance to put your multitasking, organisation, time management and attention to detail skills to great use, you'll be demonstrating these daily engaging in office management, client support & general administration.
Like working face to face but also value WFH? We work in hybrid style meaning you get the best of both worlds! Our Operations team typically go into the office one day per week, however you'll be expected to maintain a consistent in-person presence for client meetings, events, and training sessions as required.
What about this role?
The key focus of your role is to ensure the organisation is safe and efficient through supporting projects and improvements across due diligence, legal requirements, risk, compliance, audits and accreditations, and sustainability.
Internally, it works with all Operations streams - Business Operations, Risk & Compliance, Business Transformation, and IT - to maintain processes, records, and governance. Externally, it provides compliance evidence, onboarding support, and operational reporting to enable client delivery and contractual assurance.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the business, fostering collaboration, trust, and transparency.
- Prepare and present monthly risk and compliance updates to the board in concise, actionable formats.
Due Diligence and Legal Compliance:
- Support the Head of Operations with company-level due diligence and legal compliance through research, analysis, and administrative tasks.
- Conduct due diligence checks on suppliers, partners, and new engagements, ensuring contractual, regulatory, and ESG compliance.
- Act as the primary contact for supplier compliance queries and evidence requests.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the organisation’s risk management framework.
- Maintain the corporate risk register and compliance records, including policies on ESG, health & safety, and data protection.
- Monitor and report on compliance KPIs, escalating issues promptly where required.
- Ensure all governance documentation, policies, and control frameworks remain current, accurate, and audit-ready.
Essential Skills:
- Degree or equivalent, with experience in business administration, operations, risk, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage work independently.
- Confident communicator, able to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Skilled at working at pace while maintaining high standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Sway).
Desirable Experience & Skills
- Eager to learn with a desire for breadth and variety in day-to-day work.
- Comfortable switching between diverse subject matters and priorities.
- Academic background in Risk Management, Compliance, Business, Law, or related discipline.
- Experience within a regulated industry or governance-related role.
- Knowledge of ISO standards or equivalent quality frameworks.
