The Role

You will lead client engagements, manage project delivery, and ensure high-quality outputs. You will develop and mentor your team, drive business growth, and maintain technical excellence in your specialist area.

  • Able to work collaboratively with other service lines on complex issues in order to reach a solution and takes the lead in communicating outcomes to clients.
  • Proactively communicates news of a technical or topical development within Azets in their areas of specialism.
  • Is aware of upcoming changes to applicable legislation / regulation affecting their service line and how this will affect Azets workflow, processes and the scope and approach to client service delivery.

Technical Skills

Project Management

  • Project manage client engagements prior to partner and director input/review.
  • Resolve the majority of project issues prior to partner/director review.
  • Identify resource requirements for projects and allocate roles appropriately.
  • Engages with and manages stakeholders.
  • Monitors budgets for all projects including monitoring WIP, provisions and billings.
  • Delegates work to junior team members and supports them throughout a project.
  • Ensures project team is motivated
  • Monitors quality of team outputs and resolves any quality related issues.
  • Makes appropriate judgements when making decisions on cases and ensures director/partners are updated where appropriate.

Risk & Compliance

  • Understands key areas of compliance and key commercial risks and mitigants for a project. Documents findings.
  • Guides and supervises less experienced colleagues.
  • Completes engagement letters and PAC memos for any project to a high standard.
  • Understands complex group structures for CTO and conflict purposes. Prepares initial conflict notes for more complex group structure charts in relation to formal insolvency assignments.
  • Ensures correspondence is responded to in a timely manner across the project team: o General correspondence – 3-5 days (or as directed by seniors) o Work referrals – same day
  • Ensures no compliance breaches

Business Report Writing

  • Produce reports that are complex, including recommendations, prior to partner review

Business Development

  • Generates leads.
  • Delivers pitches/presentations with support of senior colleagues.

Legal and Technical Framework

  • Brief counsel and challenges advice received.

Analytical Skills

  • Challenge underlying assumptions to models.
  • Considers knowledge of the client and situation when completing reviews and preparing models.
  • Prepare, review and analyse complex financial statements e.g. multiple group estimated outcome statements.
  • Undertake more complex investigations.
  • Apply strategic thinking around the model outputs and consider their potential impacts on the wider process.

Qualifications

  • JIEB qualified

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience in restructuring and insolvency, demonstrating the core and technical skills required for the role.
  • Strong network of professional contacts and KBI'
  • Experience in conducting initial client meetings and converting new enquiries
  • Technical knowledge, skills & experience in dealing with complex MVL, CVL, Administration, and CVA matters
  • Core people management skills
  • Not essential, but experience in handling advisory matters such as IBR's, Options Reviews, Cashflow Management, and managing AMA assignments would be a bonus
