Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity here at NSF to join our team on a permanent, fulltime basis as a Restaurant, Hospitality, and Food Service Auditor, operating in Lancashire.
You will play a crucial role in furthering our mission at NSF. In this role, you will have the opportunity to travel, meet new people and learn more about many of the businesses you may frequent as a consumer. You’ll inform and educate restaurant, bar, and grocery store owners about specific standards, while continuing to learn more about those industries and growing your skills.
This is a great opportunity for newly qualified environmental health professionals, or those with a minimum Level 4 Food Safety & Level 4 Health & Safety qualification, looking to break into the audit service delivery environment!

In this role you will have the opportunity to work independently and manage your own audit diary. You will meet with a wide range of clients, using your expert knowledge to conduct a range of audits, where no two days will be the same!

Our certifications services cover the Global Food Safety Initiative, supplier assurance, foodservice equipment and nonfood compounds, and organic and Certified Transitional certification through Quality Assurance International (QAI). We also offer HACCP validation and inspection, label claims verification and certification, DNA and food package testing, and product and process development. Separately, we provide expert consulting, food safety training, and auditing in areas including food fraud and gap assessments, retail food safety, and brand standards.

Responsibilities
Including, but are not limited to:
- Conducting food safety inspections
- Coaching and training at clients' sites
- Summarizing and evaluating inspection findings
- Communicating findings and results with client site management or appropriate client representatives
- Collecting food, product or environmental samples from client sites and shipping samples to appropriate laboratories for testing
- Developing effective work plans for the completion of assigned inspections within a specific timeframe
- Establishing and maintaining effective communication with key team members, including audit delivery and client teams
- Minimum Level 4 Health & Safety and Level 4 Food Safety qualifications
- Environmental Health Degree or similar would be ideal
- Ability to perform audits in all disciplines (Food, H&S, Fire) and/or the ability to train safety advisors
- Registration to either CIEH or IOSH would be beneficial
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Travel is required to sites that are accessible by car, so a full UKdriving license is required
- Willingness and ability to travel
- Willingness to work some evenings and weekends
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
