Job Title: Resource and Operations Assistant – European Skybus Limited

Reporting to: Resource & Operations Manager

Location: Bournemouth

Contract Type: Full-Time/Part Time (Salary Pro Rata)

Role Overview

The Resource and Operations Assistant supports the efficient planning and coordination of maintenance resources and daily operations. Working closely with the Resource & Operations Manager, you will help ensure that manpower, materials, and facilities are optimally allocated to meet maintenance schedules and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, allocation, and tracking of manpower resources to support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinate with certifying staff, engineers, and contractors to maintain adequate staffing levels and shift coverage.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of rotas, timesheets, and resource utilisation reports.
  • Monitor work progress against plan, highlighting any potential resource or operational constraints to the Resource & Operations Manager.
  • Assist with the upkeep of resource management systems and databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Help ensure compliance with all UK CAA Part 145 regulations, company procedures, and health & safety policies.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Operations team, including producing reports, maintaining files, and updating documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and resource utilisation.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as required to support the smooth operation of the Maintenance organisation.

Requirements

Advantageous:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or coordination role within an aviation or technical environment.
  • Familiarity with UK CAA Part 145 requirements (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Good IT skills, particularly in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with maintenance management software is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexible and proactive approach to problem-solving.

Desirable

  • Experience working within a maintenance environment or an approved Part 145 organisation.
  • Knowledge of shift rostering and workforce management tools.

  • Ability to pass Company background and criminal record checks
