A research scientist to join our Adhesives Research & Innovation team in Wrexham, UK. You will lead R&D projects focused on developing advanced adhesive bonding and surfacing technologies to drive future business growth.

A research scientist to join our Adhesives Research & Innovation team in Wrexham, UK. You will lead R&D projects focused on developing advanced adhesive bonding and surfacing technologies to drive future business growth.
We count on you for:
- Lead the development of new adhesive products and technologies, especially in thermosetting polymers
- Manage multiple R&I projects and ensure timely progress and reporting
- Conduct scientific research, experiments, and literature reviews aligned with business needs
- Build structure/property relationships and apply them to product innovation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, marketing, sales, production)
- Support scale-up and production transfer of new products
- Present results to internal and external stakeholders, including customers
- Secure intellectual property and stay informed on industry trends and IP landscape
- Ph.D. in chemistry, polymer science, materials science, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of organic chemistry, structure–property relationships, and material characterization techniques
- Familiarity with surface science, resin handling, and testing procedures
- Experience in adhesive formulation (pastes/films) for thermosetting systems is a plus
- Interest in topics such as scale-up, lean principles, or Six Sigma; prior exposure is a plus but not required
- Competitive salary and benefits package. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
