About The Role
As an experienced Research Analyst, you will play a key role within the Everfield M&A team, reporting directly to the Head of M&A.
Leveraging your expertise and initiative, you will take ownership of continuously enhancing our CRM system, ensuring it provides comprehensive coverage of the target companies in our core verticals and serves as a powerful tool for engaging with the companies we aspire to welcome into the Everfield ecosystem.

About The Role
As an experienced Research Analyst, you will play a key role within the Everfield M&A team, reporting directly to the Head of M&A.
Leveraging your expertise and initiative, you will take ownership of continuously enhancing our CRM system, ensuring it provides comprehensive coverage of the target companies in our core verticals and serves as a powerful tool for engaging with the companies we aspire to welcome into the Everfield ecosystem.
What You Will Do
- Identify vertical software businesses across diverse sectors and European regions via market research using multiple data sources as well as manual research
- Collect and analyse data from various sources to effectively assess potential targets
- Propose improvements to the outreach, lead qualification and sourcing workflows based on insights gathered during research
- Qualify existing and new leads in the database and maintain data hygiene
- Conduct market research in core sectors and produce condensed industry summaries
- Own and Manage our CRM (Hubspot) and ensure data quality and proper reporting to various stakeholders
- Collaborate with the marketing team to enrich data and support creation of data-driven prospecting materials like one-pagers, presentations, and research summaries
- Initiate and maintain outreach and communication with potential targets, their owners, and stakeholders, if needed
What we are looking for
- Hands-on experience with lead research and database management
- Familiar with using a CRM and maintaining large volumes of data (Hubspot would be a plus!)
- (Appreciated) Prior experience (e.g. internships) with a software investor, venture capital, or private equity firm — ideally with exposure to the European B2B SaaS landscape
- Beneficial - Knowledge of the M&A processes, particularly in the context of software-focused investment firms or funds
- Genuine curiosity about software, technology, and digital business models
- High attention to detail and consistency in execution
- Self-driven and able to work independently, while maintaining a collaborative mindset
- Eagerness to develop a strong understanding of core vertical markets
- Proactive communicator who keeps stakeholders in the loop, surfaces blockers quickly, and proposes actionable insights
