Position: Reporting Data Modeler

Rate: GBP575 per day (Outside IR35)

Duration: 2 months initially (potential for extension)

Location: Remote with occasional travel to London

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Reporting Data Modeler to join our clients team on a contract basis. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between the Reporting and Data Modelling teams, ensuring seamless translation of business requirements into dimensional models and supporting the overall data architecture for data warehouse design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the intermediary between the Reporting and Data Modelling teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding.
  • Design and develop dimensional data models based on business needs and reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to the overall data architecture, focusing on the design and optimization of data warehouses.
  • Perform in:depth analysis of databases and data engineering processes to support reporting and modelling activities.
  • Utilize tools like Erwin and Sparx for data modelling and metadata management.
  • Develop and support reporting solutions using Power BI, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable data solutions.
  • Leverage Azure to enhance data architecture and engineering efforts.

Essential Skills And Experience

  • Proven experience as a Reporting Data Modeler or similar role.
  • Strong expertise in data warehouse design and dimensional modelling.
  • Solid understanding of data architecture principles and best practices.
  • Hands:on experience with database analysis and data engineering.
  • Proficiency with data modelling tools such as Erwin or Sparx.
  • Experience in creating reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively across teams and with stakeholders.
