We are currently recruiting for a Repairs Planner to join our team in Slough.

Please note this is on a 12 Month FTC

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day planning of the operatives (direct and subcontractors) to ensure all jobs are adequately allocated, attended, FOW raised, jobs re-booked or closed off as necessary on a daily basis.
  • Schedule and coordinate repairs, void works, and planned maintenance programs using scheduling software (e.g., DRS, OptiTime).
  • Liaise with tenants, contractors, and operatives to arrange access and ensure work is carried out on time.
  • Monitor progress of works and update schedules in real time to ensure efficient delivery.
  • Assist with the preparation of work programs, ensuring compliance with statutory and health & safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of appointments, job completions, and outstanding work.
  • Prioritise emergency, urgent, and routine maintenance tasks appropriately.
  • Support reporting and performance tracking (e.g., KPIs, missed appointments, completed jobs).
  • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., repairs, customer services, compliance, asset management).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in scheduling practices and service delivery.
  • Review jobs on the system and feeding back into reports as well as raising any risks to Operational Management.
  • Ensuring all appointments booked are met on time with correct allocation, operative and materials required and subsequent jobs booked with residents updated at all times to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Checking/ allocating all booked jobs ahead of appointments.
  • Daily tracking of jobs and PDA usage (Ops accepting, closing jobs, adding notes, FOWs, SORs etc.)
  • Ensure all Ops diaries are reviewed to ensure appointments are met and closed off with FOWs at COP.
  • Daily Monitoring of jeopardy to ensure no jobs are booked out of target and monitor absence levels to ensue all jobs are completed.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in planning or scheduling within a social housing, construction, or maintenance environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in IT and familiar with housing/repairs software (e.g., Northgate, Orchard, DRS).
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
