Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Games Design and Development Teacher to deliver online one-to-one lessons to students with diverse needs, including those with SEND. In this role, you will have the opportunity to teach and support students who are unable to attend mainstream schooling, helping them engage with studies through tailored and accessible lessons. Lessons will be predominantly remote.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Games Design and Development Teacher to deliver online one-to-one lessons to students with diverse needs, including those with SEND. In this role, you will have the opportunity to teach and support students who are unable to attend mainstream schooling, helping them engage with studies through tailored and accessible lessons. Lessons will be predominantly remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver individualised and creative Games Design and Development lessons that are aligned with the student's academic level and learning objectives.
- Teach a range of topics up to Level 3 or equivalent levels.
- Ability to promote understanding in Design, Animation, Game Scripting, and 3D Modelling.
- Remain patient and flexible in the approach to learning by adapting lesson content and teaching methods through video recordings to support students with SEND and other learning challenges.
- Remain proactive by tracking and assessing student progress through assignments, tests, and projects to ensure understanding of design and development concepts and practical applications, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and staff.
- Possess excellent communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively with pastoral teams to ensure holistic support for each student.
- Maintain thorough records of lessons and progress in line with educational requirements.
- Complete daily planning, weekly records, and 6-weekly plans of work.
- Right to Work in the United Kingdom
- Significant experience with game design and development.
- Experience working with SEND students is highly desirable.
- Excellent knowledge on Animation, 3D Modelling, Game Scripting and Game Development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students in a one-to-one setting.
- A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
- Flexible working hours and locations, allowing you to tailor your work schedule.
