Rathgael Garden Lodge Veterinary Clinics-a group of RCVS-accredited, veterinary nurse training practices located across Bangor, Holywood, and Stormont-is looking for a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our expanding team.
The Role
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse at Rathgael Garden Lodge, you'll be a vital part of delivering compassionate, expert care to a diverse range of patients. Your responsibilities will include providing direct nursing care, assisting in surgeries, monitoring anaesthesia, performing diagnostic imaging, and managing inpatient care. You'll also run nurse-led clinics covering areas such as weight management, dental care, and post-operative support, as well as conducting blood sampling, medication administration, and laboratory assistance.
Beyond clinical duties, you'll play a key role in educating clients and mentoring student nurses, fostering a culture of learning and excellence within our team.

Our clinics are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including ultrasound, digital and dental x-rays, laser therapy, piped gases, and advanced anaesthesia systems, ensuring you have the best tools at your fingertips. You'll also benefit from working alongside vets with specialised expertise in general practice, dermatology, orthopaedics, and advanced dental treatments.

What Will You Bring to Our Team?
The ideal candidate will be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with current RCVS registration and proven experience in general practice nursing, including surgical assistance, anaesthesia monitoring, diagnostic imaging, and inpatient care. Excellent communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential. A strong commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of veterinary advancements will help you excel with us.
Working Hours
This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week. Shifts will be between 8:00 AM and 7:30 PM, including 1 in 5 Saturday mornings. There are no out-of-hours responsibilities.
