About Our Opportunity

Join EMR as a Regional Maintenance Manager based in Swindon. Reporting to the Head of Site Services, this vital role is part of the Site Services Management Team. It is a unique opportunity to lead the development and delivery of EMR’s Mobile Plant and Fixed strategy across our UK operations, ensuring industry-leading maintenance and operational standards are upheld.

What You Will Be Doing

In this role, you will take full responsibility for managing the maintenance and operational efficiency of Mobile and Fixed Plant equipment across EMR’s UK sites. Leading a team of skilled mobile fitters, you will ensure both planned and reactive maintenance is executed effectively to maximise plant availability. You will oversee the delivery of strategic projects, ensuring they are completed safely, cost-effectively, and within agreed timelines, all while aligning with EMR’s business objectives.

A significant part of your role will involve implementing and maintaining maintenance strategies and systems, such as CMMS, to ensure operational excellence. You will conduct site audits to verify compliance, lead recruitment and development initiatives for Mobile and Fixed Plant fitters, and provide expert support for diagnosing complex mechanical issues. In addition, you will ensure all statutory maintenance is completed to the highest standards and oversee warranty claims, repairs, and servicing to maintain cost efficiency.

This position will also see you act as the subject matter expert for equipment across the organisation. You will play a key role in ensuring SHEQ standards are met within your team and continually work to improve processes, including those related to minimising plant downtime and enhancing overall efficiency.

  • Oversee a team of skilled mobile and fixed plant fitters to deliver effective planned and reactive maintenance

  • Implement and maintain maintenance strategies and systems, including CMMS
  • Provide expert support for diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical issues
  • Ensure all statutory maintenance is completed to the highest standards
  • Act as the subject matter expert on Mobile and Fixed Plant equipment across the organisation
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimise downtime and enhance efficiency
