Our market ready platform, VICTA, is an optionally crewed / payload carrying dual-domain platform designed to operate at speed over range, capable of rapid transition beneath the surface to operate submerged, enabling the discreet delivery of effects within contested waters. It is a unique, innovative British platform focused primarily on the defence market but with utility beyond.

As a Regional Lead at SubSea Craft, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth and success. Your responsibilities will include the development and execution of strategic business plans, capturing progress and milestones, identifying new market opportunities, and supporting the management of key client relationships. Proactive engagement and clear regional strategies are essential, collaborating with internal teams to ensure alignment with business development objectives and company plans. Additionally, you will engage with stakeholders in the defence and maritime sectors across your region. Your role will also involve leading the European business development team, ensuring high customer satisfaction through effective relationship management and communication.

Responsibilities Will Include

  • Strategy Development: Lead on the development and implementation of strategic business development plans to achieve company objectives and expand market presence within Europe.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong regional relationships with key stakeholders, including military officials, defence contractors, government agencies, and other potential partners.
  • Regional Accountability: Accountability for regional business development reporting to senior management.
  • Industry Engagement: Represent and advocate for the company at industry forums, contributing to thought leadership initiatives. Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network with key stakeholders in the maritime and defence sectors. International travel will be required.
  • Coordinate Internal Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, product development, and finance, to align business development efforts with company goals. Ensure clear communication and coordination between regional teams to leverage resources and expertise.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Business Development: Relevant experience of winning business with clients and partners within the defence sector, preferably within Europe.
  • Leadership: Demonstrable experience of expanding and leading a successful team delivering a business development function.
  • Communication: Strong oral and written communication with the ability to present complex information to a range of audiences.
  • Reporting: Experience of engaging with senior personnel providing accurate reporting to support allocation of business resource.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Engineering, or a related discipline).

Note: Due to the nature of work undertaken at SubSea Craft, the selected candidate must be capable of meeting the security requirements of the position, which would include as a minimum Existing right to live and work in the UK, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), with Security Check likely for specific projects.*
