Coveris is a leading global manufacturer, creating high performance and technically engineered packaging solutions. At our Winsford site, we produce polythene film for a range of established customers across multiple industries including agricultural, industrial, and food based.
We are recruiting for a Recycling Team Leader to join our Recycling department. The Recycling Team Leader will report to the Recycling Manager.
The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, 8am till 4pm. The annual salary for this role begins at £26,799.52 with 25 holidays.

We are recruiting for a Recycling Team Leader to join our Recycling department. The Recycling Team Leader will report to the Recycling Manager.

Key Responsibilities
- To support the departmental manager in achieving all operational KPI’s and objectives in both the Recycling departments.
- To ensure machines run efficiently and to production plan, in cooperation with maintenance:
- Maintain health & safety standards.
- Report any deviations to plan, machine issues, and faults, in a timely manner.
- Organise requirements ensuring controlled handovers.
- To ensure quality of production using tools and procedures:
- Conducting daily random quality control checks, ensuring all results are accurately recorded. Liaise with QC as and when required.
- Ensure all training for both new and existing team members are up to where required.
- Ensure finished product packaging is completed to specification and sufficient for customer expectation.
- To control manning resources for shifts:
- Assess requirements and control overtime where required, liaising with other departments where necessary.
- Monitor and deliver all relevant task cards or SOPs.
- Monitor and complete return to work interviews, liaising with HR as required.
- Manage breaks and holidays with minimal disruption to production and manning levels.
- Be responsible for team members, challenging non-compliant behaviour and escalating issues with senior management/HR where required.
- To maintain a safe working environment:
- Daily hygiene audits and maintenance of housekeeping.
- Completion of hazard spotting and documentation.
- Ensures compliance to work tickets, job specification sheets and task cards.
- Ensures accurate completion of all production-related controlled documents.
- Maintains the knowledge and skills required to interact effectively with prerequisite systems e.g.: AS400, DWOR, Fire and Evacuation procedures and accident/incident reporting etc.
- Completion of duties in a safe and responsible manner and in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, making recommendations for improvement through Health & Safety Representatives as appropriate.
- Completion of ad-hoc duties to meet the needs of the business, subject to appropriate training.
Desirable:
- Experience using management systems such as AS400
- FLT licence
- Computer literate
- MS Office experience
- Commitment to Health & Safety and the wellbeing of coworkers and the environment.
- Leads and drives performance and motivation through coaching individuals and the wider team.
- Drives commitment to excellence in quality and efficiency placing the customer at the centre of operational activities to meet quality objectives.
