Join us at Barclay as a Records Management Analyst. In this role you will cover Barclays Group Records Management Standards and be responsible for mitigating the associated risk throughout the entire records management lifecycle, by defining and assessing controls to ensure that Barclays meets its legal and regulatory records retention obligations. Primary responsibilities include the management of a business unit aligned Relevant Records inventory, alongside supporting aligned data retention governance. You will contribute to department’s processes, procedures and quality controls alongside the Records Business Partner, supporting the Business, Legal and Technology teams on behalf of the Investment Bank.

Accountabilities
To be successful as a Records Management Analyst you should have:
- Records Management in a regulated environment subject matter expertise.
- Risk Management in Financial Services understanding and expertise.
- Stakeholder management.
- Experience in the utilisation of electronic document/records management systems or evaluating electronic records management products and systems.
- Data Management in a regulated environment subject matter expertise.
- Change management experience.
- Ability to work independently as well as a team, and able to maintain effective working relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Understanding of the life cycle of a record.
This role will be based out of Knutsford.
Purpose of the role
To develop, implement, and maintain effective governance frameworks for all data and records across the bank's global operations.
Accountabilities
- Development and maintenance of a comprehensive data and records governance framework aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Monitoring data quality and records metrics and compliance with standards across the organization.
- Identification and addressing of data and records management risks and gaps.
- Development and implementation of a records management programme that ensures the proper identification, classification, storage, retention, retrieval and disposal of records.
- Development and implementation of a data governance strategy that aligns with the bank's overall data management strategy and business objectives.
- Provision of Group wide guidance and training on Data and Records Management standard requirements.
- To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions.
- Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function. Set objectives and coach employees in pursuit of those objectives, appraisal of performance relative to objectives and determination of reward outcomes
