A member of the reception team is often the first point of contact for staff, students and visitors (either in person or on the telephone), and as such is of central importance to the image that CJBS presents. The role holder needs to actively engage with the Schools' clients, students, programme participants and visitors to deliver the best customer experience. Our reception team is professional, courteous, presentable, friendly, attentive, and efficient and prides itself on excellent customer service.
The receptionist team forms part of the wider facilities team, which is largely responsible for the smooth running of the School and its internal and externally focused activities.
Duties will include receiving visitors to the School including potential students, programme participants, the general public and distinguished guests, dealing with telephone enquiries, managing room bookings and providing general support to the wider School. Additionally, duties will include sorting and distributing incoming mail, processing outgoing mail and issuing room keys and access cards.
The successful candidate will have a good standard of general education and experience working in a customer-facing environment. They will be expected to be proactive in their approach to the role and possess a problem-solving mindset. We are looking for an individual who is ambitious, has excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. Computer literacy is a prerequisite for the role. Experience of working at a reception desk would be beneficial.
This is a part-time position, offering 16 hours per week. Working hours will be spread over 2 to 3 days, with daily hours varying in line with the needs of the business.
