About The Role
Whilst working as part of a team within the Receiving department, the Senior Operative is responsible for ensuring potato intake operates effectively and that a continuous supply of potatoes meets planned schedule to quality requirements.
Key tasks of the role include, but are not limited to:
The ideal candidate will be someone with experience of working in a Receiving/Intake role within a manufacturing environment, with great communication skills and attention to detail.

WHAT HOURS WILL I WORK?
The shift pattern is four on / four off – 2 days 6am-6pm, 2 nights 6pm-6am followed by 4 days off.
WHERE YOU’LL WORK?
You'll be based at our Whittlesey plant in Peterborough. If you’ve spotted our three wind turbines, then you’ll know where we are! With about 350 employees on site, we’re one of our largest plants across the GB business. Our Whittlesey plant is where we make our famous French Fries as well as our chilled products, such as our Shake Shake Fries.

About The Role
Whilst working as part of a team within the Receiving department, the Senior Operative is responsible for ensuring potato intake operates effectively and that a continuous supply of potatoes meets planned schedule to quality requirements.
Key tasks of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure sampling is carried out to the standards and samples entered into PC&R correctly and in a timely manner
- Ensure the tradability for the dry bins are correct and there is no cross contamination on the lines.
- Yard management including receiving loads, carrying out checks, driver management and maintaining cleanliness.
- Operation of blending requirements.
- Routine sampling of raw material, checking potato passport, recording of data and liaising with production and Senior Operative on specification achievements. Actioning and maintaining rejection data.
- Completion of area SQDC board
- To assist in the operational training of team members within the area of responsibility
- To monitor and report upon non-conformance to hour-by-hour targets, leading continuous improvement activity and assisting to generate abnormality management practices and revised standards
The ideal candidate will be someone with experience of working in a Receiving/Intake role within a manufacturing environment, with great communication skills and attention to detail.
