About The Company

As part of a major digital transformation programme, we are building a new front-end development team to revolutionise the customer experience across our digital platforms. We’re looking for a skilled Lead React Developer to shape the future of our web development strategy, lead from the front, and play a key role in enhancing customer engagement and loyalty.

About The Role

This is a unique opportunity to join a newly formed team where you will have genuine influence over the technical roadmap and delivery practices. As Lead Front-End Developer, you’ll be responsible for developing high-quality, customer-facing websites and applications using React, and mentoring a team of developers to deliver scalable and visually engaging digital experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of dynamic, responsive web applications using React
  • Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to deliver visually engaging, user-focused products
  • Champion best practices in front-end development and drive code quality through reviews and mentorship
  • Establish technical standards, influence architecture, and guide strategic front-end decisions
  • Work with back-end teams to define and consume APIs effectively
  • Implement and promote a test-driven development approach across the team

Skills And Experience

  • Strong expertise in JavaScript, especially React.js and Redux
  • Proven experience in UI/UX development for scalable web applications
  • Proficient in front-end technologies: HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, SASS/LESS, JSON, Bootstrap, jQuery, and XML
  • Experience with source control systems (e.g., GitHub)
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design, API architecture, and web standards
  • Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) or behaviour-driven development (BDD) is a plus
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
