The Scientist for Leica Biosystems is responsible for aspects of data generation to support the development of our product portfolio and the successful candidates may find themselves working on a variety of projects as the need arises.
This position reports to a Technical Team Leader and is part of the Research and Development team located in Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK and will be an on-site role.

The Scientist for Leica Biosystems is responsible for aspects of data generation to support the development of our product portfolio and the successful candidates may find themselves working on a variety of projects as the need arises.
This position reports to a Technical Team Leader and is part of the Research and Development team located in Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work on a number of high priority projects and gain insight from others.
- Become part of a team responsible for the generation of data for a specific project you are assigned to.
- Learn how to design, perform and interpret experiments on the staining instrumentation.
- Be part of a wider R&D organisation, gaining exposure to a variety of different project types.
- Learn and implement the process of developing products within a regulated environment.
- At least a year working within a laboratory environment or have experience working within a laboratory gained within Higher Education studies.
- Possess a Degree in a scientific subject.
- Have knowledge of health and safety and how this applies to Laboratory environments.
- Experience of Immunohistochemistry (IHC).
- Experience of working within a regulated environment
