Overview
Reporting to the Head of Racing Risk, you will oversee the accurate and timely execution of daily trading tasks, with a primary focus on managing trading and risk tasks for UK and European racing markets. You will serve as the main point of contact for trading-related queries from the Customer Operations Team.
To excel in this role, you’ll need strong analytical and communication skills, the ability to prioritise effectively, and a proactive attitude toward learning and development. You’ll work independently within a small team, take direction from senior traders, and contribute to broader trading tasks across our global platform, including market creation, pricing, monitoring, and settling sports markets.
As a key member of the UK Trading Team, you’ll adopt a flexible, start-up mentality, collaborating across departments from supporting CRM and acquisition teams with promotional markets to working with tech and product teams. Embracing challenges and stepping outside your comfort zone will be critical to your success.
Primary Location
This role is currently open to candidates based in Leeds and surrounds, though other locations in the United Kingdom may be considered.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of the UK racing product and ensuring all race day tasks are completed
- Adhere strictly to trading risk guidelines and procedures
- Ensure timely and accurate market settlement
- Manage trading and client risk effectively
- Monitor prices and control liabilities
- Compile performance and client analysis reports for UK racing
- Support the Customer Operations team with trading-related queries
- Assist with global sportsbook trading and risk tasks as needed
- Collaborate across departments to provide trading expertise
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven ability to perform in a high-pressure environment
- 3+ years’ experience in a UK facing trading team with at least 2 years’ experience in a racing risk or trading role
- Deep knowledge of, and a passion for horse racing, with a focus on UK/Irish markets
- Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail
- Proactive, can-do attitude, aligned with Dabble’s values
- High level of accuracy and attention to detai
