Job Description
United Living is looking for an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our Major Projects team — starting with a groundbreaking Carbon Capture Pipeline project in the Northwest of England.
As part of a dynamic, fast-growing division, you'll be at the heart of nationally significant infrastructure projects that will shape the UK’s future.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Quantity Surveyor you’ll be responsible for ensuring commercial success across the full lifecycle of each project — from contract negotiation to cost reporting.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Quantity Surveyor you’ll be responsible for ensuring commercial success across the full lifecycle of each project — from contract negotiation to cost reporting.
- Oversee contract management in line with NEC 3/4 (Options A & C)
- Lead subcontractor negotiations, payments, and performance tracking
- Deliver accurate and timely budget, cost, and change reporting
- Produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliation and generate Earned Value Analysis reports, whilst maintaining robust commercial documentation
- Build trusted relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
- Manage risk, opportunity, and cost control with precision
What We’re Looking For
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior commercial role, ideally in energy/oil/gas
- Excellent working knowledge of NEC contracts
- Strong commercial acumen and leadership skills
- Confident in client and supply chain engagement
- Member of a relevant professional body (e.g. RICS)
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required
