As a quantity surveyor you'll work on projects that make a real difference to our environment and our communities - from improving flood defences, to upgrading water treatment works and providing nature-based solutions that improve biodiversity.

You will be involved throughout the entire project life cycle, from early contractor involvement, optioneering, tender negotiation through to the design, procurement, construct, commissioning and handover of schemes.

The Role Of a Quantity Surveyor Includes

  • Ensuring robust cost management processes are in place, providing accurate and timely reports, data, and analysis to assist in commercial decisions.
  • Working closely with the delivery team to identify, implement, and monitor efficiency plans throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensuring all project team members understand the contractual arrangements to meet client requirements.
  • Supporting our clients to maximise opportunities and mitigate risks to help deliver successful outcomes.
  • Influencing the contractual and commercial aspects of schemes to ensure robust project control.
  • Fostering and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring clear communication, understanding client needs, and delivering value through effective cost management and project delivery.

What You’ll Need

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering or related field
  • A practical mindset, good math skills, the ability to solve problems and manage project finances.
  • A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region
