What would you do as our Quality Manager:
To coordinate, support and advise the Business on all aspects concerning to Quality. To establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with Quality practices.

What would you do as our Quality Manager:
To coordinate, support and advise the Business on all aspects concerning to Quality. To establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with Quality practices.
You would also:
- Continuous Improvement: Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and improve overall manufacturing processes
- COPQ Reduction: Develop and execute strategies to minimise the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) through effective quality control measures and root cause analysis
- DPPM Reduction: Monitor and reduce Defective Parts Per Million (DPPM) by implementing robust quality assurance processes and corrective actions
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with customer specifications, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintain and update quality management systems (QMS) to meet these standards. Host all external quality audits
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the quality assurance team, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve departmental goals
- Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement
- Customer Interaction: Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns and complaints. Work closely with customers to resolve issues and improve satisfaction
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on quality performance, including COPQ, DPPM, and compliance metrics, to senior management
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to drive quality improvements and achieve operational excellence
- Quality Support: Provide quality system guidance and hands-on technical support to the Cheltenham operational team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team
- New Product Introduction: Execute the Quality inputs to New Product Introduction following the prescribed AA Group Gateway process
- Quality Team: Ensure team members have the necessary skills and training to perform their roles effectively. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members
- KPIS: Reduction in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), Reduction in Defective Parts Per Million (DPPM), Compliance with quality standards, Customer satisfaction ratings (NPS), Number of successful continuous improvement initiatives implemented
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.
- Provision of advice to managers/supervisors
- Handling of Quality investigations
- Experience of formulating, implementing and managing quality policies and procedures.
- Proven track record of leading continuous improvement initiatives
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analysis (8D)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record in driving improvement
- Extensive experience of dealing with customers, particulary in OEM channel
- Experience in undertaking and being audited to ISO9001:2015
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), ISO standards, and regulatory requirements
- Hands on use of measuring equipment eg: Romer Arm
- Structured Problem Solving (8D, 5 Why, Design of Experiments etc)
- Knowledge and use of SPC and PPAP
- Six Sigma certification or equivalent (desirable)
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles (desirable)
