Quality Engineer

We have an opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join us at Honeywell, in Motherwell, where you will be responsible for supporting site Accreditation Audits (AS9100D, CAA Part 21G, ISO9001:2015 & Nadcap), providing on-site QMS support, maintaining and updating Operational Documentation and driving solutions associated with significant product and process issues, ensuring that products are safe/reliable.

This role will be 100% onsite at our Newhouse, Motherwell location.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue improvement opportunities while managing and monitoring Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) activities effectively.
• Lead and support the Quality team by establishing targets and addressing both internal and external escalations.
• Promote awareness and understanding of NADCAP principles within the organization.
• Assist in new product introduction (NPI) and growth initiatives/projects as directed by management, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Conduct customer audits, follow up on improvement actions, and support the implementation of Aerospace Safety Management Systems while monitoring audit data and facilitating Honeywell Operating Systems (HOS) principles.
  
  

Key Skills And Qualifications

• Educational qualifications include a Degree or HND in a relevant subject, alongside suitable job experience in the field.
• Proven ability to work efficiently to meet goals established by the leadership team within a Manufacturing and Engineering environment.
• In-depth knowledge of customer support when quality issues are raised – demonstrated 8D experience
• In-depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems, Aerospace Standards, and certifications such as ISO9001, AS9100D, and Nadcap, along with Six Sigma Green Belt certification (preferably Black Belt or Lean Expert).
• Familiarity with Honeywell Operating Systems principles, documentation control systems (e.g., Siemens Team Centre), and strong skills in Inspection and Calibration, including experience in managing customer contracts involving complex investigations.
