Quality Assurance Engineer, Veeqo
Amazon
Date: 2 weeks ago
City: Swansea
Contract type: Full time

Description
Veeqo helps high-growth ecommerce businesses build a slick inventory and fulfillment operation that means the right products get to the right customers at the right time, every time. Veeqo plugs into all the major sales channels and shipping carriers, allowing businesses to manage orders, inventory, picking and packing, shipping, purchasing, reporting and more - all in one platform. It’s an ecommerce supersoftware that is making ecommerce fulfilment dramatically more efficient. We are a friendly, kind, and modest bunch who work very hard but value healthy balance, family, friends and all the good stuff that makes us smile! We also love dogs and have a fair few in our office!
As a Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE), you will work with product managers and developers to plan solid test strategies, write and execute tests that validate new improvements to our systems. Test automation is integral part of your work. Working within frameworks created to support our team, you will develop and implement automated test suites. You test code at the user level, both manually and with automated tools. Our QA Engineers are not pure black box testers; they test at the appropriate level and are able to understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests to test at UI and/or API level. You'll look for key metrics that show the areas of strategic test value, weed out inefficiencies in our team's development and testing processes, and work with SDEs, Product Managers, and QA peers to deliver quality software products.
The ideal candidate gets excited about making certain the user experience is the best possible. The strength of an engineer is the ability to create documentation, creatively improve the software development and QA process, and the finely honed ability to break software in unexpected ways.
