Working as part of the Purchasing team, the Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for managing demand of equipment and consumables through building strong working relationships with our suppliers, to enable Liquidline to deliver exceptional customer service for their customers. The Purchasing Assistant will be confident in having negotiation conversations and will be able to think on their feet in problematic situations where stock issues may arise.

Working as part of the Purchasing team, the Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for managing demand of equipment and consumables through building strong working relationships with our suppliers, to enable Liquidline to deliver exceptional customer service for their customers. The Purchasing Assistant will be confident in having negotiation conversations and will be able to think on their feet in problematic situations where stock issues may arise.
The Role – Purchasing Assistant
- To support in managing the full procurement category on Liquidline’s consumable stock.
- To support with analysing stock demand, which will support with forecasting orders with suppliers.
- To work with suppliers and build strong working relationships to allow for improvement on cost savings targets.
- To lead on the introduction of new products in the specific category.
- To manage and update our recurrent ordering points on the system as demands change for a product.
- To support with the back-order fulfilment as required.
- Sound working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Experience of working towards deadlines and managing conflicting priorities.
- If you have experience of understanding the Purchasing Lifecycle, this would be an advantage to your application.
- Confident and approachable in cross department collaboration – you will need to communicate with other departments across the business to understand the impact of stock levels.
- Clear and written verbal communication via email and phone.
